Pratham is dedicated to improving the quality of education in India. It was established in 1995 with the mission of providing education to children in the poorest and most overlooked neighbourhoods in Mumbai. Pratham continued to expand over the years to become one of India’s largest non-governmental organisations responsible for bringing quality education to children, young adults and communities across India. Pratham has been able to achieve this by implementing high-quality, low-cost, and replicable procedures to address educational inequality. Pratham uses the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach which has been successful in improving children’s learning outcomes and is now being adopted globally. These programs directly engage with children, mothers and young adults as well as collaborate with the government systems on a large scale, impacting millions of lives.
Pratham makes funding these educational initiatives possible by organising galas across multiple cities in the United States throughout the year. The mission of the galas is to provide guests with an immersive evening to help raise funds for the organisation. This year’s concept for the galas was developed with the tagline “Learning changes lives” to effectively convey the transformative power of education. To further showcase the positive outcomes that education has on people’s lives we used aspirational messaging and Pratham’s extensive collection of images evidencing genuine examples of Pratham’s work throughout the campaign.
Continued collaboration with Pratham involves creating campaigns for various fundraising events, including a ‘High Tea Afternoon,’ ‘The Carnival or Colour Festival,’ ‘An Evening at the Met Museum,’ and a Readathon in conjunction with Motorola. For these fundraisers materials, guidelines, and social media toolkits were developed to ensure consistent implementation across print and digital channels.
By executing this comprehensive campaign, Pratham aims to raise awareness about the importance of education and secure support from the Indian diaspora in the US. Ultimately, the funds raised will contribute to Pratham’s educational initiatives across India, helping them continue their mission of improving the quality of education for children and young adults.
